Dr. Sean J. Hayes is an international geologist and geomodeling expert with nearly 40 years of experience. He holds a PhD in structural geology from Cardiff University, UK, and an MSc in hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham, UK. Dr. Hayes has worked for Majors such as BP and Mobil. At BP, he was a development geologist on the highly successful UKNS Miller Field project. He has also worked for large independent oil companies such as Norsk Hydro and Talisman Energy. At Talisman he was Corporate Advisor for 3D reservoir management and geomodelling; over the course of his career he has been involved in hundreds of geomodelling projects around the World. In 2007, Dr. Hayes founded ZinMac Inc. with Mr. Wain and worked with him on the current Gabon project. After ZinMac's merger with Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd. in 2009, he served as Chief Operating Officer until 2014, when he re-joined Mr. Wain to pursue Gabon objectives. Dr. Hayes is a founding shareholder in Capitaine Energy Inc. (June 2017) and is a critical member of its technical and management team.
Mr. Beatty has over 21 years of international exploration and development experience. He received a BSc (Hons), cum laude and Gold Medal in Earth Sciences from the University of Western Ontario in 1998. He has worked with Petro-Canada (Canada) and BG Group (UK) covering several countries: Brazil, UKNS, Tanzania, Trinidad, Nigeria, Tunisia, India, China, Kazakhstan and Egypt. Mr. Beatty is a Principal of Lyme Bay Consulting (UK), which specialises in detailed regional and sub-regional reconnaissance studies using full-volume, automatic 3D seismic interpretation methods. This approach has been applied in projects on the Norwegian continental shelf and along the continental margins of several African countries e.g. Senegal, G. Bissau, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Morocco, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Angola. Mr. Beatty is an expert in this field and integrates it with the interpretation of key seismic attributes, to determine the seismic geomorphology / depositional framework over critical intervals of interest. It is particularly useful in the interpretation of deep-water clastics and slope-channel systems such as in the offshore Nile Delta (BG Group). Mr. Beatty has been a consultant with Capitaine Energy since 2016 and is an essential part of its technical team
Mr. Jamet, a French national, has more than 35 years of international exploration and country management experience. Currently, based out of Portugal; Mr. Jamet holds an MSc., and PhD in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Paris XI, Orsay, France. From 1982 to 1993, he worked as a Geologist-Geophysicist for Eurafrep/Coparex in the 1990s. He has worked in/on: United States, Portugal, Gabon, Spain, France and Indonesia. From 1993 to 2004, he was a founder and General Manager of Coparex Indonesia, making two commercial discoveries. Coparex was acquired by Lundin and from 2005 to 2006 he worked with Lundin on deep-offshore, exploration in Nigeria. From 2007 to 2010 Mr. Jamet worked as Exploration Manager for Premier Oil Vietnam, making a commercial discovery. From 2011 to end 2015, he worked as a consultant for: Serica Energy (Indonesia), Perenco (Australia), Cottesloe Oil & Gas (PNG) and MontDOr Energy (Indonesia) . In 2016, Mr. Jamet joined Mr. Wain and Dr. Hayes to continue the Gabon research program and became a founding shareholder of Capitaine Energy Inc. Mr. Jamet brings to Capitaine Energy his extensive experience in economic modelling and PSC negotiation.
